RB26 is a recently established company with historical roots. The central state archive records the birth of the ‘Berrettificio, Cappellificio Manifatture e Confezioni Serchio’ on the 18th of January 1962 in Ponte a Moriano. Over time, the ownership and company name changed, but the company continued to produce what it had mastered over the years, specialising in knitwear accessories.
In those years, hundreds of people from the surrounding area worked in this industrial reality, developing that knowledge and craft skills in ‘hat-making’ that still remain a precious heritage of this territory, located in the countryside, a little out of the way and atypical compared to the paper industry in the area of Lucca.
RB26 carries out its activities in the same original premises of 1962, outside the large industrial poles, in a reality that unites the reserved city of Lucca with its rugged and hard-working mountain areas, where the identity and richness of this territory, synthesise the genius of our artisans: the aptitude for combining knowledge, skills and creativity.
